reez

I met Reez almost two years ago by way of my sister, Simone. They go to school together and became friends at the start of their program. My first impression of Reez was that he is a very gentle and sensitive soul – in a way that makes him undeniably strong and influential. He’s a multidisciplinary creative powerhouse who produces music, shoots and edits video, is a very talented designer, and dreams really big. Like change the world for the love of humanity big. He hails from Ghana and is a huge advocate of African art, culture, and innovation. If it isn’t obvious by now, I have a ton of respect for Reez and the way he sees the world. I first proposed to photograph him surrounded by art to which he responded that he would rather be surrounded by trees. God is green.

Another big thank you to Simone, who finds time to help me shape light even when she’s got plenty to do on her own.
