This dude is quirky fresh and really comfortable with it. I was sitting on skated steps near the zoo waiting when Vital and his friend sat down with some pastries around noon. Vital is from Valais, a french and german-speaking Kanton in Switzerland. A sculptor, filmmaker, and social media hold-out who seems odd in all the right ways. The jumpsuit he’s wearing once belonged to his girlfriend’s grandfather. His current idea of a dream job is to open his own atelier. Customers would come in describe a wish and Vital would create it for them. Little figurines made of wood for kids to play with – whatever could be dreamed up.
