Rebecca has always been drawn to complexity and challenging activities for as long as she can remember. She has ten years of show-jumping horses under her belt – and her favorite horses were the stubborn ones. She has a degree in sports from the University of Basel and currently works as a physical trainer at an outpatient cardiovascular rehab center. Some of the patients she works with have had heart transplants. It strikes me as a profession that isn’t to be taken lightly.

Rebecca started riding motorcycles about three years ago. Her favorite thing about riding in general is the community aspect followed by the fact that the open road demands you to be totally present. During the warmer months Rebecca goes on an annual ten day trip with a tight group of friends she rides with – complete with wild camping and thousands of turns.

Everyone has a story and their appearance is full of clues. At first sight we might let ourselves believe that we get the whole picture of a person but there is always more. I ask one last question to Rebecca before parting: “Is there anything else you want to say about yourself for this story?”

“I’m not as tough as I might look.”
